How a travel-lift haul-out works

  1. Berth

She comes into the lift berth between the two piers, under the travel lift.

  2. Slings

Two wide slings go down under the hull, fore and aft of the keel.

  3. Lift

The 800 t travel lift raises her clear of the water and the quay.

  4. Haul out

The lift drives her ashore onto the hardstand, level the whole way.

  5. On the blocks

She is set down on keel blocks and stands, and the work starts.
